Classic Italian Aperol Spritz

I rarely indulge in spirits (of the boozy kind anyway), but on the hottest days of summer, the Italian Aperol Spritz calls to me. It’s become one of my all-time favorite cocktails—bright, bitter, refreshing. Savouring a homemade Spritz instantly whisks you away to La Dolce Vita—especially when paired with a great date, fabulous conversation, and nowhere to be but in the moment.

Ingredients
Ice
1 part Aperol
1 part dry Prosecco
A splash of San Pellegrino (or sparkling water of choice)
Orange slice as garnish

Instructions
Fill a wine glass with ice and add ingredients.
Garnish with a slice of orange and enjoy!

And if alcoholic drinks are a never or a sometimes for you, try a mix of orange, grapefruit, and cherry juice topped with sparkling water. Or, for a closer match, substitute the Aperol with Lyre’s Italian Spritz and finish with a non-alcoholic Champagne.

Salut!
Karen
